Hot, hot, hot.

Mad dogs and Englishmen and all that, even so, we had a light luncheon under the shade of our old parasol that I unearthed from the depths of the shed. We have only had the shed for about 6 months so how it can have depths already I do not know, but depths it has, and it wasn’t too bad sharing our spoils with various spider’s nests and 42 yards of cobwebs.

I can’t really call it a picnic as a) it was in our own back garden and b) there was no ‘proper’ picnic food but George had his fave cheese and ketchup roll (his mother’s son) and some grapes and Harry managed to sneak in a fistful of grass when I wasn’t watching.

I took a few pics of some of our flowers we have growing, it is such a joy to have a virtually slug-free garden and a wholly squirrel-free garden. Plants that are there one evening are still there the next morning *gasp*!

Simon is at Goodwood Festival of Speed all weekend *yawn* so it’s hard to get up to too much trouble as I am a bit limited by having the two littlies, especially when Harry is still so young. Situations like queuing/negotiating shops/open spaces take on a whole new dimension with a pram and a fast moving 3 year old in tow. I hope it’s a bit cooler tomorrow then I can fulfil George’s request of going for a walk in his pushchair (ah bless, I think he must miss it!) as I can take Harry in his sling.

Anyhoo, Simon is home for the evening, I have a cuppa and now I’m going to enjoy a nice quiet bath.

Laters taters,
Charlotte x
